Thawalanthenna to Pundaloya
A scenic stage through residential Tawalantenne and New Kotmale, crossing Ramboda Oya, ascending past Kotmale Dam views on an old British road, reaching an abandoned tea factory with epic vistas, then zig-zagging to Choicy village high point and descending to Pundaloya with valley views.

Pundaloya To Watagoda
An enjoyable moderate stage starting near Pundaloya town with paddy fields, river crossings, village roads, a Buddhist temple, and entry into historic Dimbula tea country, featuring dramatic 'Wall' views and a relaxed uphill to Watagoda village and train station.

Watagoda To Kotagala
A delightful moderate stage from Watagoda Train Station through tea trails, Holyrood Estate, Thalawakele town (Dimbula tea hub), fairy-tale-like hamlets with gentle ups/downs, small hills with epic western views of Nanu Oya contours, ending in Kotagala with transport options.

Kotagala To Norwood
A scenic stage through tea estates, past Singamalai Lake and views of Castlereagh Reservoir, descending into the bustling tea town of Norwood.
